Measuring for Curtains

• To be sure of the best possible fit please take time to measure the windows carefully. We suggest using a metal tape for accuracy.
• Curtains hang from either a pole or a track in most cases.
• Track or poles should be positioned 15cm above the window and extend 15cm either side. We strongly recommend that customers fit tracks or poles before taking the measurements.

Measuring the width of curtains

• Measure the track/pole - not the window.
• For Tracks - Measure the length of the track from end to end.
• For Poles - Measure the length of the pole between the finials (decorative ends).

Measuring curtain drop required (length)

A - Sill length - for recessed curtains only, measure 1cm above the sill.
B - Below sill - curtains should fall 15cm below the sill.
C - Floor length - curtains should fall 1cm from the floor.

• For tracks: measure from the top of the curtain track.
• For poles: measure from the bottom of the curtain rings.
• As a guide ready-made curtains are produced in 3 different lengths.

Recommended curtain size, based on the track or pole measurement:

IMPORTANT - Take track or pole length and round down to nearest 10cm. For example 155cm - round down to 150cm
